Alexandre Pantoja was doing Uber Eats delivery ahead of winning title at UFC 290

On Saturday night Alexandre Pantoja defeated Brandon Moreno to be crowned the new UFC flyweight title.

On Monday he appeared on the MMA Hour and revealed how much he struggled with money. 

Per @arielhelwani new UFC Flyweight Champion Alexandre Pantoja was driving for Uber Eats two fight’s ago and only stopped working for the company after he got his $50 K Bonus vs Brandon Royval.

The new champion said that just two fights ago he was driving for Uber doing Uber Eats food delivery to earn money to send back to his family in Brazil struggling with pandemic issues. 

He could only quit the side job when he earned the UFC bonus in his fight with Brandon Royval. 

This news comes as the UFC is being criticized for low fighter pay during some of the companies biggest revenue years.
