PPV Buys For KSI-Fury/Paul-Danis Reportedly A Fraction Of Initial Report

The recent ‘Prime Card’ boxing PPV featuring KSI vs. Tommy Fury and Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis was nowhere near the blockbuster success that was originally reported.

It was a train wreck like many suspected it would be, with some top MMA fighters and pundits describing the antics that unfolded as ridiculousdisgusting to watch and f*cking embarrassing

At the end of the day, the lackluster reviews would be an afterthought for the parties involved if it turned out to be a financial success.

Misfits Boxing PPV Buys

Happy Punch, a popular combat sports social media account, reported on 10/16 that KSI-Fury/Paul-Dannis did roughly 1.3 million buys. At $54.99 a pop, that would have brought in over $70 million – more than enough for everyone to be laughing all the way to the bank.

Dave Meltzer, veteran MMA/wrestling journalist, says the actual number of buys is nowhere close to Happy Punch’s claim. According to Metlzer, the event did closer to 100,000 buys, which would have generated around $5.5 million.

If Meltzer’s figure proves accurate, this would be a significant flop for ‘influencer’ fights and Misfits Boxing. KSI nor Paul have yet to address these reports, as of this writing.

KSI lost to Tommy Fury by unanimous decision, despite many arguing he was robbed on the judges’ scorecards. It was the first loss of his professional boxing career.

In the other half of the double main event, Logan Paul defeated former Bellator prospect Dillon Danis by disqualification after Danis attempted a guillotine choke late in the fight. Danis has expressed his frustration with the result and intends to appeal

Despite the PPV tallies, KSI and Paul are two of the biggest names in crossover boxing and will look to return to the ring in 2024.
