Drake Bets Large On Edwards KO: ‘Head Shot Please’

Drake is once again putting his money where his mouth is and trying to cash in on his knowledge for mixed martial arts (MMA).

This time around, the millionaire rapper is backing UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards in his grudge match with Colby Covington later tonight (Sat., Dec. 16, 2023) at UFC 296 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s the final fight of 2023 and Drake is looking to go out with a bang.

On Friday, Drake entered a bet slip with Stake and decided to wager $250,000 on Edwards stopping Covington via knockout and defending his welterweight title in “Sin City.” If victorious, Drake would win $1.2 million. It’s quite the payout, but Drake hasn’t had the best of luck with his UFC bets. In fact, he usually curses whoever he picks.

Check out the official bet slip below and Drake’s message to his fellow fight fans:

“Head shot please and thank you,” wrote Drake.

Edwards, who is unbeaten in his last 12 trips to the Octagon, is the small betting favorite entering Saturday’s main event scrap with “Chaos.” However, Covington has only been finished once in his entire career by knockout and it came against Kamaru Usman back in 2019. Besides that, Covington has showcased one of the best chins in the division and he’s easily one of the hardest guys to put out.

All we can do is wish Drake good luck.
