Flashback! Watch Edwards Flatline Usman With Heroic Head Kick KO

It will be hard to top his infamous knockout finish over Kamaru Usman, but Leon Edwards will be back in action to defend his UFC welterweight title against Colby Covington later tonight (Sat., Dec. 16, 2023) at UFC 296 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Edwards, who hasn’t tasted defeat since a 2015 decision loss to Usman, is coming off back-to-back wins over “Nigerian Nightmare.” He’s the betting favorite to knock off Covington in “Sin City” and walk away with his 170-pound crown intact. However, he is entering one of the most dangerous fights of his career and one mistake could lead to Covington’s upset victory.

In advance to Edwards’ clash with “Chaos,” we’re bringing back his legendary head kick stoppage over Usman from UFC 278 in 2022. Usman was handily winning that title fight before “Rocky” launched a desperate head kick with one minute left in the fifth and final round. The kick connected and sent Usman to the shadow realm. Edwards collected his belt and the rest is history.
