Israel Adesanya was on hand to watch the boxing mega-event in Dubai. Here’s how his meeting with an excited Conor McGregor went.

More footage of a hyped up Conor McGregor has surfaced from the weekend’s big Day of Reckoning boxing event in Dubai.

The monumental event featured Anthony Joshua vs. Otto Wallin and Deontay Wilder vs. Joseph Parker amongst a number of other high profile heavyweight and cruiserweight bouts. It also featured Conor McGregor going viral as he seemed to jabber endlessly at a tired Ronaldo who seemed sick of his s—.

Other footage from the night had McGregor castigating the UFC for treating him poorly and refusing to book his return match in a timely fashion.

And now, witness McGregor neighing at Israel Adesanya like a horse as the two of them meet.

Between the background noise and McGregor talking over Adesanya, it’s difficult to figure out exactly what the two are saying. Adesanya asks if McGregor is healthy, and McGregor says he is. It sounds like McGregor says something about Adesanya’s last fight, saying “You never showed it.” It ends with Conor confirming he’s hanging around in Dubai and that he’ll contact “Stylebender” later.

We’re still waiting to see when McGregor will return. Many expect him to headline UFC 300 against Michael Chandler. His comments in Dubai suggest this is by no means a sure thing. No wonder he’s getting antsy. He says he wanted to come back in December 2023. Now he may be forced to wait until July 2024. That’s three whole years away for the aging Irish sports star.

As for Israel Adesanya, he may be returning sooner than expected. He recently revealed we’d be seeing him soon. Sooner than McGregor? It’s entirely possible.
