Middleweight Mac Betting Favorite Over Mini Mike

When sports books opened the betting line for Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler back in early 2022, “Notorious” was the odds-on underdog. Probably because he was “stumbling around drunk” during filming of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 31.

The power-punching Irishman, freed from the shackles of United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), recently announced his return to the Octagon, set nearly three years after breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in Las Vegas.

When and where? June 29, part of International Fight Week this summer in “Sin City.”

Our fiscal friends over at Draft Kings have reversed the odds from 2022 and McGregor, who teased his return at middleweight, is now a slight betting favorite. Whether or not he stays that way may depend on how much bettors wager on “Iron” Mike.

The promotion has yet to make the fight official.

Chandler, two years older than McGregor at 37, has been (voluntarily) riding the pine in the wake of his submission loss to Dustin Poirier back in late 2022. “Iron” has been patiently waiting for “Notorious” to get his comeback underway since TUF 31 wrapped last summer.
