Yoel Romero is entering the biggest fight of his professional combat career tomorrow night (Sat., Mar. 7, 2020) at UFC 248 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, when “Soldier of God” takes on undefeated UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in the main event.

”Muhammad (Ali) had the best defense in the heavyweight (division). The best moves, in the heavyweight (division). But… shorter man, dirty boxing… He beat him one time.” said Romero in a recent interview captured by ESPN (shown above). “Everything is possible in your life when you believe! When you believe, everything is possible. You have two hands like me. Everything is possible. Go. Go and take it. Whatever you want to do.”

The message is certainly intense, but fight fans have grown to expect this sort of banter from the man known as “Solider of God.” The most interesting aspect of it all is that no matter how positive and peaceful Romero seems before a fight he unleashes absolute hell every time he steps inside of the Octagon. That’s why this weekend’s title fight with Adesanya is do darn exciting.

We’ll soon find out if Romero’s self believe pays off in a big way as he tries to solidify his role in the UFC’s growing middleweight division.
