There’s no doubt Shinya Aoki (45-9) is one of the most dangerous grapplers in mixed martial arts history.
The Japanese fighter has notched 29 submissions in his 44 career wins as a professional MMA fighter. Seven of those 29 submission finishes have come in his current promotion, ONE Championship.
ONE Championship’s Michael Schiavello and Mitch Chilson recapped Aoki’s best work on the mat throughout his tenure with the company, including his ONE Championship title-winning finish against old rival Eduard Folayang in 2019.
