It appears Khabib Nurmagomedov doesn’t only handle lightweights on the ground.
The former UFC 155-pound champion welcomed his good friend and training partner Luke Rockhold back to American Kickboxing Academy this week, and he certainly didn’t take it easy on him.
The currently retired Nurmagomedov, who practically walks around at light heavyweight, was able to take Rockhold down a couple of times and hold him when the pair were grappling in a recent training session.
And of course, “The Eagle” talked some trash in the process.
“I just miss you, I hug you brother,” Nurmagomedov is heard saying in a training clip Rockhold posted.
“205 vs 210,” Nurmagomedov added on his Instagram Story. “If you don’t know, now you know.”
Rockhold will return for the first time since July 2019 when he faces former title challenger Paulo Costa on Aug. 20.
