UFC’s Louis Cosce returns after 18 months to face Trevin Giles in September

One-half of the UFC’s Cosce brothers return to action in September to take on a tough veteran entering his tenth appearance with the promotion.

Louis Cosce will meet Trevin Giles at welterweight on Sept. 10. The booking was announced on Friday by Iridium Sports, and MMA Junkie has confirmed the matchup is in the works with multiple sources. The UFC Fight Night event does not yet have a confirmed venue or location.

Cosce (7-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) will enter the second fight of his UFC tenure 18 months after losing the first fight of his professional career in his promotional debut at UFC 255. The Dana White’s Contender Series veteran impressed the bosses with a first-round knockout of Victor Reyna on the show in 2020, earning a contract with his performance.

Giles (14-4 MMA, 5-4 UFC) will look to right the ship after dropping his previous two bouts. The Texas-based fighter put together a streak of three straight wins beginning in 2020, including a Fight of the Night split decision win over James Krause at UFC 247. He defeated Bevon Lewis via knockout and Roman Dolidze by unanimous decision to round out the streak before missteps against Dricus Du Plessis and Micahel Morales.
