Larissa Pacheco thinks third time will be the charm against Kayla Harrison

ARLINGTON, Texas – Larissa Pacheco has been in there with two-time PFL women’s lightweight winner Kayla Harrison, and twice she’s come up short.

But after her quick win over Zamzagul Fayzallanova (7-2) on Friday, Pacheco (16-4) thinks she may have progressed to the point she finally can give Harrison some fits.

“She’s the champ. I’ve got to beat her to be the champ. Last year in the finals … I wasn’t at the same level (as Harrison),” Pacheco said after her 85-second TKO win.

In 2019, Pacheco lost a decision to Harrison to open the regular season. The two fought later that year in the final in a rematch, and Harrison again outworked her – just over five rounds instead of three.

Pacheco was the only fighter to take Harrison the distance until Harrison’s unanimous decision win over Marina Mokhnatkina on Friday.
